Here are some hints for anyone thinking of buying a PDA.

There are really only two main stream PDAs:  Pocket PCs and Palm OS PDAs.

Pocket PCs use the Microsoft Pocket PC OS (Windows CE).  These are made by the likes of Hewlett Packard, Compaq and Casio

Palm OS PDAs use the Palm Pilot OS developed for the Palm.  These are made by Palm, Sony, Handspring and Handera.
