| Are all cables and leads properly connected - have any connections come loose or unplugged? |
| Has there been a power outage - are all the correct lights illuminated on your equipment? |
| When was your computer last working correctly and what have you changed since then ? (if it ain't broke ... don't fix it! ) |
| Power your entire system off then back on again - does this fix the problem? |
| If you can't boot up, is there a floppy disk or a cd-rom in the drive? |
| If you can't read a floppy disk or cd-rom, can the drive read a different one? |
| If you can't connect to the internet, is there a dial tone on your phone line ?(ignore this if you use cable) |
